Waste tank air locking.

Problems with the waste tank and sink draining, suspected air lock issues related to the overflow/air vent pipework.

The waste tank wasn't draining and the sink was also not draining despite the waste tank only being about 60% full.

Thought outlet pipe must be blocked.

Tried hose up from underneath which worked last year, but didn't work this time.

Disconnected overflow pipe from 3 way connector downstream of valve to left of cupboard and tank started draining at full flow rate.

Connected everything back up and ran a full fresh tank through sink into waste tank and drained it down again successfully.
Thought all fixed.

Filled fresh thank again and started running it through tap into sink, sink quickly filled up and wouldn't drain.

Suspected air lock and confirmed by unscrewing level sensor at top of tank and sink quickly drained.

So, for some reason the air vent/overflow mustn't be working as a vent?
Either air isn't getting out of the top connection, or water is gathering down near the valve and preventing the air from getting out down the drain pipe.

Problem is, the vent/overflow connection at top left of tank is inaccessible (without major dismantling).

Anyone had this issue and any bright ideas how to solve it?

Has anyone ever completely renewed the drain pipe?

Might be worth using a flexible rod to ensure overflow/vent pipe is clear.

Yeah I tried poking a cable thing through but sooner or later gets stuck on a bend/corner.
Will try and find something else that might get through.
