VW van centre call today

Hi, so I got a call from a lady from Leeds VW centre asking if I was still the owner of my California which obviously I am. She was asking this because she is in charge of chasing up warranty claims with VW. She is now in charge of getting my radio warranty claim sorted as she says it’s taken far too long. This was nice as I was getting fed up with getting fobbed off with the same no ETA excuse. Hopefully this will get fixed soon..

Not much apart from her now personally chasing up the warranty claims. There are 3 VWs waiting for the new radios to be fitting at Leeds VW centre apparently. They are having a purge of all back order items not just radios I believe so I’m assuming the back log is just getting bigger so they need to sort it out. I’m hoping this gets sorted soon as it’s camping season soon ……

There is still no movement on this. I have been waiting since July. I did contact VWCV and get very annoying weekly up dates about still no known date for delivery. The latest was a slight change in style.
“I would like to inform you that this item has been escalated internally by the Volkswagen Brand to the Volkswagen Factory as there was a high influx of items on back order.” does not sound like imminent delivery.
