Upgrade to T6.1

so old mattress fits but is probably about 2 inches too long
you have to remove the cushion off the top of the rear parcel shelf which is now spring assisted to raise and no longer made of wire but a solid piece.
the new parcel shelf has a strap to help lift it so the cushion on top has a cutout for the strap
anyway the wife decided to keep the mattress but in less than 24 hours is now changing her mind
the rear seat/bench seems to sit approx. 2 inches further back one assumes to allow better access to the wardrobe now that the sliding doors have been replaced
so i can see a trip back to the dealer to get a safety triangle/firstaid kit and swap the mattress

the other thing is that the cutlery drawer insert is not as good in the t6.1 so we swapped it with the t6

upstairs bed it better, tiny bit bigger and the wooded slats replaced with plastic springs that are a lot more comfortable

no lid on the glove box is a negative so might buy one

but in less than 24 hours we have our first fault !! something about traffic sign recognition, i did find a connector under the bonnet just sitting there all on its own, so did a google lens and it looks like its the connector to the heated screen, and as the screen works i am wondering if the screen has been replaced and the camera not calibrated and hence to error message about sign recognition
has anyone else had this error?
pic of van and cable found under the bonnet attached

Wiring connector for the heated screen. Likely had a replacement.

What’s the Error message you get ?

I have used Kettering for service and a simple warranty repair, no complaints. With the campervan side, when it was in warranty, I always took it back to Peterborough, as they were/are a California dealer.
It will be interesting to see how they perform, please keep the thread updated and hope you get it all sorted.
With the low mileage, it might have been one of their rental vehicles, I almost rented one to try before I bought mine.
The van looks great.

well the van goes to parkway Leicester in a few weeks time to sort out the front camera, the airbag indicator that keeps falling out and the cover for the camera that rattles and also to sort out the fact that the van wont let me become primary user!
the other little issues that is really annoying is that the van has came with a service plan so i have been trying to take ownership of the plan and i am getting nowhere, I have contacted VW FS and they said to email them, so i did, they then asked for a copy of the v5c and a copy of my driving licence, so i sent that. and then i have heard nothing. so i called them and was told that because i had been talking to them via eMail they would not talk to me on the phone!. I have checked with the garage and they tell me that the plan is still not in my name but as the the service plan is classed as a financial product i am now threatening VW FS with a complaint to the FCA. just how hard can it be to change the name on a service plan ??
