Travel seating for 'Teddy'

Hello from Tasmania. So where do you seat your dog when on tour? We have a Border Collie, 'Teddy', and local travel is fine when we have multiple seats available, but when going on tour and extra seats are removed, we don't have safe, belted seating available for Ted. Are there any seat modifications or additions available or home made solutions out there?

We have a clip that attaches from his harness to the headrest on the back seat it gives the dog more freedom of movement and still protects you and the dog in the event of an accident

Okay, thank you for the response. Our Cali is perhaps different being an Australian release. We don't have a bench seat, rather two second row singles which we keep in for round town driving and then remove them when heading off camping. Our kitchen and auxiliary cupboards are Vanessa products (An Arco and a single vertical column as well). We should be able to secure Teddy on to the cargo rings on the floor behind the front seats. Might have to build an elevated seat platform for him to sit/nap on and fit it in between the front seats. Thanks again for the idea.
