Hi,

We have just put a deposit down for a T7 Ocean. The only optional extra we have went with is it will be Florida Beach Blue. We have been told the van should be with us March/April.

Is anyone else seeing lead times this long or is the sale bid maybe being over cautious?

TIA

Nick

Lots of dealers have 50 or so, stock t7’s coming in, in the next 4 weeks. It would be best to shop around tbh.
With £2k dealer contribution
£2k previous vw finance user (within the last year)
& 5% discount
A stock vehicle could be a good choice.
Ring the good dealers and ask.
Vw commercial
Breeze, SMG, swansway Liverpool, maybe not eurovans Crawley !
Ask on here who else knows of stock coming in.
You might some extra options added with some stock cans for the same price ?

Breeze told me they ordered 50 middle of December 24.
Arrival in the next week.

Tried to edit the above post but couldn't find out how!

We have went through a VW Commercial Dealer in Edinburgh and it was the APR along with the 5yr servicing/warranty/breakdown cover. Just awaiting a build date, hoping that the sales bod was over egging the delivery date a bit

Only VIPs can edit posts. Generally delivery estimates are quite accurate.

So we have finally got a provisional build date of 12th Jan and thats with the order placed 7th July. Hopefully comes in before the new year!!!

Just a quick update. Confirmed build date is now 23rd Sept so will be looking at getting the van near the end of October

Like the blue....that would be my choice

We arent quite sure if the roof will be blue or black. We asked for it blue too but not confident he wrote it down. We are happy with either so havent bothered to query it

You can make changes to your order with no impact to the build time up until close to the start of the build. So do ask.

In fact, I would very very strongly recommend that you ask for a printout of the order, including the full list of options on your order. And then go through it line by line and make sure it’s what you expected.

Dealers can be incredibly feckless when inputing options and mistakes are more common than you’d think. Form their point of view, it doesn’t matter. They’ll flock it anyway. From your point of view, a mistake means that you either reject it and have to wait for another 6 months to a year to get the van you actually wanted. Or you accept it and pay £80k+ for something that’s not even what you wanted.

So definitely do ask for a full printout of the order including all the options on the order.
