T6.1 Fridge not working

Hi all, was off grid with our t6.1 ocean a couple of weeks ago and switched fridge on at level 2 as normal (usually pretty cold). Fridge didn’t work. Tried it a couple of times after that at level 2 and nothing (although it did work once while driving). Voltage was above 12 all times. Took it to dealer and they tested it (seems like they tried it at max as this was the setting after I got it back) and said all fine. Now home and not working at level 2 again. Anyone with experience of this? Thanks

Never used mine at level 2. Why not try level 3 or 4 ? Most users use 3 or 4.
Maybe setting is too low for actual temperature in fridge ?
What was or is actual outside temperature during test?
What do you mean with : it was working once while driving ?

Thable for your reply. We got our Ocean last year and level 2 on the fridge worked well. Kept things quite cold. Now doesn’t seem to work at all. Outside temp was about 11 degrees C. Will try level 3 today but even if that works, still bothers me tha level 2 not working!

Re driving: we’ve found that if we turn on the fridge to level 2 when parked it doesn’t work, but there was a time since the failure that we switched it on at level 2 mid journey and it did work. At all times battery voltage was above 12V.

Interested to see if anyone else having/had similar experience.

I use level 2 on my T6.1. I have had occasion where I notice it has shut off. Why? I've no idea, but I just fire it up again and all is well. I just put it down to a control unit glitch.

Could it be too cold outside and the thermostat isn’t registering, must admit I’ve never used ours below 4, try turning it on at 4 or 5 for a bit first, especially if you have put cold stuff in the fridge near the thermostat

Might be working while driving because this weather you have heater on so temperature goes up then it works ?

I’m supposing the fridge icon on the control panel remains on all of the time? If it doesn’t I’d say you have a controller issue. If it does, I think that it’s a thermostat thing, as others have mentioned. Why not give it a test by tuning on the diesel heater, and get the interior nice and warm - you’ll need to keep the fridge door open (and turned off until the internals are warm). Then close the door and switch on at level 2 , see what happens.

If that’s a success, just set to 3 or 4 in the winter to get properly cold. You might find in the summer it works at setting 2.
