I own a 2012 T5 140hp cali beach which I’ve owned for 2 years which has developed a fault with the radio/entertainment system that my local garage haven’t been able to get to the bottom of. I’m hoping someone on here might be able to help.
Randomly, on multiple occasions now, the screen will cut off and this is accompanied by a thumping noise coming from the speakers (definitely not coming from the engine). Then it stops, the screen flickers back on and reboots itself. In between the radio/speaker work normally. I’m guessing faulty electrics somewhere but not sure where and who is best to approach to diagnose/fix it or whether the whole thing needs replacing.
I have a video of the noise but it didn’t look like I can attach that to the thread but hopefully my description will suffice.
