T5 dip switch

I cant get my main beam to go off, it's either main beam or dippeed and main together, I had this a few years back, I replaced the column switch and it fixed it. This time there's no difference. I'm guessing that there is a relay somewhere but the manual id very vague so not sure where to look so if anyone can point me it the right direction it would be much appreciated.

The full T5 wiring scheme is in the resource section for download.

No sign of a relay in the dip circuit.
Pull the connector T41 off the stalk and check what voltages are present on pins 38/39.
Start from there.

Check the condition of that connector, there may be corrosion or a short between pins 38/39 effectively bypassing the switch.

I believe it is all within the switch. Are you running “upgraded / updated bulbs” by any chance? These older style switches that flow the current directly through the switches can get damaged by bulbs that take higher current, the internal contacts erode and/or plastic elements suffer from heat.

If you haven’t updated the bulbs then, it is still probably the switch, but odd to have the same issue again without an underlying fault. As suggested by @sidepod then maybe check connections, but difficult to understand this specific issue with a connection issue. You can get very odd symptoms with a bad earth and the bulb filaments become the earth path for other bulbs, but this doesn’t seem to fit.
