I’ve seen lots a people go skiing in their cali’s. It’s not clear if they’ve driven to the resort and skied or stayed in the van.

Is it feasible for a family of 4 to do it? Tell me your stories and sites please. I’m imagining an enormous hassle when it comes to showering, storage of wet clothes etc but hoping to be persuaded otherwise!

Check out youtubers, Early retirement wanderlust. They have done it for years in a T5 coonversion.

I did zugspitz. Stayed in van. They were really well set up with drying rooms for your gear. Boot rooms etc so you can leave kit there. 4 is a squeeze in a cali at best of times, with ski gear etc I don't think I'd attempt it. Doable with a site with great facilities. Some sites u have your own bathroom next to van. Google something like ski glamping sites.

Fine for 2 but I would say definitely challenging for 4

Thanks, confirms my thoughts on numbers.
I need a bigger van…!

Honestly, it's not that different from any other activities, where you might get wet clothes (summer included). If you are lucky with the weather, you can dry them outside, if not, you are going to have lots of hanging clothes to move around inside... 4 adults in Cali is challenging no matter the time of a year but still doable.
The main difference is that winter camping in Cali has it's own set of issues (freezing tanks, batteries, snow bending the roof, etc.) but there has been plenty topics around that already, so you might check those first.
