Hi Leeb
Prior to our GC680 we had a transporter van with VB full air.
The full air was effectively all for wheels and involved new front struts etc. we loved it ( albeit expensive) for us the nicest feature was self levelling when parked up, and lowering to get under car park barriers.
So immediately we got the new Crafter derived GC I started to investigate.
That was November ‘24. Rear air was available only. We were promised full air once the front struts had a certification from TUV in Germany, and were effectivly capable ( we were told ) to cover all variants, like 4x4 etc.
At the November ‘25 NEC show we were advised that the full air kit was now signed off and pre orders could be made. So we went ahead to get this moving. Only to be eventually advised that the 680 at 3888kg could not be specified. So this was very disappointing.
What I did learn along the way that the net weight penalty of the epuipment being fitted was approx 50kg.
Now 50kg ‘lost’ on van maxing out at 3500kg - to me would, in itself, too greater loss of load payload. Possibly even so on the 3888kg variant.
So I am back to square one. - still using those nasty plastic ramps !
