Currently in Spain tried to hook up to the campsite electricity supply and no supply received by the van. The proprietor checked the supply and proved to me it was working.

Any suggestions what this numpty on all things mechanical and electrical should try? Fortunately we are doing the miles to keep the leisure battery topped up.

Check the 240v trip switch in the van is switched on.

1. When plugged into the Mains, do you have Mains power to the socket on the end of the kitchen unit?
2. If the kitchen socket is working, then the mains lead to the Battery Charger is probably unplugged, or not fully engaged.

Battery Charger is installed above the rear leisure battery.
The mains lead is like a kettle lead plugged in on the L side of the charger. Check it is fully engaged. They can often be loose from the factory.
This advice from WG sorted me out when I had similar!

Not tried the 3 point socket by the sink and will try next time we are on a site. The light that would appear when you hook did not show up

Hi I had the same problem with my 1 year old T 6.1 last summer as mentioned make sure the kettle looking plug is properly on above leisure battery on the onboard charging unit underneath wardrobe. Mine was all properly connected and I had a new charging unit replaced under warranty by VW but at the present time I would run the engine every now and then to keep the leisure batteries charged up to you can let someone have a look at it. That’s what I had to do for 3 days while I was away, hope this helps and good luck.

Thank you for this tip. I am useless when it comes to these sort of things but where would the switch be? I’ve a T6.1 2022 Cali Coast
