Just had my discover media repaired at Satnav Systems in Surbiton, The unit had the common digitizer fault. Great service highly recommend if you don't want to go to main dealer

Go to a main dealer and they'll just change the head unit....out of interest I need to do mine but am going to DIY-it. How much was it to have professionally done out of curiosity?

The price you pay depends on the service needed if you go to Satnav Systems website it is very good and they are very helpful .There isn't one price fits all as they will explain

Had our Sat Nav screen sorted out today by SatNavSystems in Surbiton. It was the usual problem but now updated Euro maps plus speed cameras and campsites featured and the latest firmware installed.
Took a few hours - I went ten min walk round the corner to Hunt's Cafe (v good) and it was all done when I got back. Terrific service from people who really seem to know these systems. 12 month warranty on the work and cost £475 + vat.
Hamid is a smooth operator and interested and interesting, so ten out of ten for efficiency and effort.

I had tried to use Ingleby Electronics but had problems communicating with them despite and initial friendly chat and informative chat. Wasted a chunk of time driving to their patch only to be unable to contact them so proved wasteful and fruitless. There may have been a good reason for all this but I still have not managed to subsequently contact them.

Hope this helps someone else who may have the same problem and is trying to weigh up who to use.

campsites
Glad you had a positive experience.

Are campsites loaded onto your Maps SD card ?
(I had my SD card updated recently with Sat Nav Systems)

I also got a wireless USB dongle to connect my phone wirelessly to the Head unit, Car play work great wirelessly. Spotify etc

I guess they must be - is there anywhere else they could be stored?

I looked at the dongle (£50) but choose the wired connection as it charges the phone at the same time.

I think he has a little gold mine there.
