Removing parcel shelf mattress cover for washing

Hello. I am trying to work out how to unzip the rear parcel shelf mattress cover for washing. I have tried (gently) pulling this with a crochet hook inserted into the gap above the zip but it just won''t budge. I've read elsewhere on the forums that people have washed these with good results so must have had success in unzipping them first. Any tips greatly appreciated!

I've just removed mine, I pushed my finger into the hole at the top of the zip then pushed the zip open until I could get my hand in to operate the zip properly, if it's stuck try closing it further to get it moving, I washed it in woolite on delicate setting with the zips closed, put onto the washing
line with the zips open to dry it's all gone back together without a problem
