Evening all,
Take a look at the image below...
This is the access panel that goes on the rear right side in the boot area (under the load shelf); the one on the left is the part that is currently on my Cali, the one of the right is a brand new part I just purchased from VW.
As you can see, the one of the left has some sort of sound absorber stuck to the back of the panel (look like it is self-adhesive), here is a close-up...
The problem is, I can't seem to find out exactly what this material is; I've been back and forth with VW and they can't find it using the part number shown on the label, they just keep pointing me at the foil backed stuff, but I'm wanting to ensure I use the same material as VW did when the Cali left the factory.
Does anybody know what this stuff is and where to get it?
