I tried changing the faulty rear sensor on my 2015 Ocean a couple of weeks ago and ended up breaking off the top section leaving the remainder stuck. I returned a couple of days later after googling and U tubing thinking I had a plan, but I didn't. So today I took it to the local mechanic I use for "big jobs" and he had it out, replaced and code erased within £40! on asking him how he did it he said "from inside the hub", now I know what he meant but I don't understand how he did it. Any ideas?

On 2WD versions of the van, the tip of the speed sensor sticks out in the gap between the rear hub and axle. So you can put a lever or screwdriver in and push the speed sensor upwards rather and pull from the top.

Yes , there is a plastic cover on the rear of the hub. Remove this, it just clips on and you can see the tip of the sensor (and the ring it measures). Tap the old sensor out with a small drift. I used a bit of wood shaped to same size as sensor tip.
