Hello all. I wonder if anyone can recommend a campsite in Provence with good facilities and well located to explore Provence and the coast west of St Tropez? Ideally with nice pools, nature and relaxation? We may stay in our Cali at the site or potentially stay in a mobile home and use the Cali for day tripping. Thanks all

Gordes in The Luberon is a lovely site with a nice pool.
Not close to the coast but nice.

We were there Sep / Oct last year and struggled to find really nice sites. Some were closed and the rest very busy. I’ll be watching this thread closely for next time to see where we went wrong!

It’s a pity, because there are so many outstanding places to be visited. For example, wild camping at the very tip of the Camargue watching flamingoes was a highlight, but I’m not sure if this fits the bill.

Thanks Acer. Seeing wild Flamingos must be incredible. Hopefully we can find somewhere to witness that.

We’ve been going to St Trop/Luberon for over 15 years.
Never found anything in between worth staying in.
We’ve searched high and low along the coast but never found anything other than horrible dust bowl car park style sites.

I second Sidepot comment. Two years ago in June we had no luck in this area neither. Full and nasty campgrounds, f not reserved a year earlier.... good luck. It made as leave for another area. This winter we enjoyed Corbieres region... till the wind came.:) Municipal campgrounds in out of the way small towns in France suit us the best. Facilities might be not what some expect though but fine for us... it is camping after all not a Ritz spa.
