Had a call with dealer today.
The indium grey fully loaded beach 150ps diesel that was already built and at the German port with nobody’s name on a month ago, the dealer had put my name on it.
And we agreed a good finance discount and dealer contribution, against a 4.9% apr pcp 60m deal.
I heard about the new 2.9% deal and the dealer tried to talk with VW to change the vehicle over to that deal.
Apparently they won’t allow that anymore.
I have two choices.
Stick with the 4.9% and deal.
Or order a new factory order to have the 2.9% deal.
I haven’t signed the finance, only put down a £500 deposit. (I haven’t got to put any more into the finance)
Anybody just collected a new Cali, and moved to the lower 2.9% apr ?

I changed my deal multiple times during the build process as it got better, I was told as long as it's not been delivered then they should requote the finance

I think I might be in a similar boat as you with same dealer - we have a Beach Diesel on Factory Order and enquired about the revised finance figures and price support and was told;

'The finance contribution is £3000 still it just also contains a £1,500 dealer contribution. Essentially, they have used dealer’s margins to pay for the new finance campaign to make it look stronger, but it is the same deal.'

Dunno where that leaves us regarding the finance either, as we've not signed the final finance documents, so potentially missing out on the lower rate of finance and another £1k deposit contribution is taking the edge off my excitement somewhat..

Which dealer, and what month was this ?
Cheers

Do a Drive the deal quote and give it to Breeze. They usually beat it.
So the 4.9% I have £4500 finance cont and
But as it’s a van that was at the German port
It had an extra £751 of options.
That tbh made sense to have.
Discount £9190 (4500 + 4690)
Discounted price £63’073
Monthly price £729

With the 2.9% deal on DTD it’s showing as
Discounted saving. £7655 (4500 + 3155)
Discounted price. £64’612
This is on a factory order.
With 2.9% apr would be monthly £675

Both gfv is around £39k

£55 a month saving.

The end of story is do I want to save £55 and wait another 4 months.
No. So I have to pay the extra £55 a month.

About £4000 dealer discount (I had quite a lot of options!), £3500 deposit contribution (that was the deal in Q1 26, up from £3000 in Q4 25 and £2500 in Q3 25 when I originally placed the order and 4.9% APR.
Nice. :thumb
