So, I ended up collecting the new van mid-Feb. The dealer wanted it registered and done before the plate changeover so it’s the last of the 75 plates.
Frustratingly, we’ve barely used it since. We’ve had one night on the driveway all five of us and I slept in it again (on the driveway) before leaving stupidly early for some snagging work to be done, but otherwise she’s waiting for her first big trip in a couple of weeks when we’re doing Cambridge up to Northumberland, Scottish Borders, then over to Belfast to drive down to Dublin to stay with family, before heading back to Holyhead and home to Cambridge. Should be a good 1k miles shakedown.
Most initial snagging is done but needs a new water pump as the pressure switch isn’t quite right and I’ve got a question mark as to whether the Lithium Pack degraded between manufacturing and delivery as it looses c 30amp a day (it’s a 330aH setup and dead after 10days).
I’ve had 2x150w of solar added which has mitigated the power loss for the moment.
Plus I’ve had a Zenec motorhome headunit fitted. Desperate for levelling legs but funds won’t allow just yet.
Otherwise very impressed with it. I’ve done 638miles and averaging 22.2mpg and seen 25mpg on a few runs. Gearbox is behaving itself and it drives very well indeed. Much quieter overall than the previous coachbuilt with far better quality fixtures and fittings. Very little in the way of squeaks and rattles on the move and the air suspension heated & ventilated seats are a revelation!
