Odd screech noise after Ocean pop top roof has finished shutting - could this be a fault?

Pop top roof makes a screeching noise once completely closed… only for a few seconds after it has completely shut, but is this normal??

It is even important to keep the button pressed until the sound stops completely. Same when you raise the roof.

Yup. It even says as much in the manual.

As others have said. Perfectly normal. Admittedly, it does feel counter intuitive to keep pressing the button, during and until the screeching stops, but it is the right thing to do.

Do you mean screeching or a continuation of the normal roof mechanism sound?
Normal roof lowering sound continues for a while after roof closure but it isn't a screech which I think would be abnormal.

As others have said. Perfectly normal. Admittedly, it does feel counter intuitive to keep pressing the button, during and until the screeching stops, but it is the right thing to do.

Take your finger off the button when it starts and it makes no difference.
