Hello. I am Neil, based in West London. I ordered my new California Ocean last week. This is my first van. It is from stock so hopefully will be here next week. It’s a diesel, in dark grey with black wheels. This forum has been very helpful so far. Some of the tips - like driving it empty to find rattles, open a window when opening/closing roof - will no doubt save me some pain. Thank you.

I collected the new van on Thursday. First drive was just 17 miles home, last 3 being gnarly London traffic. Spent the evening with the user manual and fighting with Bluetooth/apps and Friday / Saturday I did about 300 miles, As, Bs, motorway in different weather. I haven’t put water, gas or a frying pan in it, but that will come once I have lined the shelves with non-slip and decided what goes where and how I want to sleep in it.

I am very pleasantly surprised at how good it feels to drive. The driving position is comfortable. I can see out of it. The driver assistance doesn’t want to have an accident. The wipers work. Everything just works. I think it is brilliant and cannot wait to drive to Portugal week after next.
