New member struggling to get handover checklist access.

Hi all, so glad to be here after researching for years. I finally took the plunge and I pick up my Cali Ocean, Fortana red, tomorrow. It’s one of the last, on a 74 plate and apart from us enjoying it for a few years ( I’m 69 ) I see it as an heirloom which my adult kids can’t wait to get hold of !! Have to watch my back

I am really happy to be here but acknowledge that I have a steep, and hopefully enjoyable, learning curve. This club seems such a great place to be and I will gratefully accept any advice and apologise in advance for asking questions.

To start, I’d be really grateful to get my hands on a handover checklist. I have joined as a VIP member but cannot seem to download or open the ones available in resources, for some reason. Is there any other way I can access one ? Thanks.

To be honest I’m not expecting the “full works” handover as I’m getting it from a Ford dealership, so in many respects I’ll be learning on “the hoof”, so to speak.

It’s a pleasure to be able to help. Make notes of what they show you. I still refer to my notes when I bought mine from the previous owner. Plenty of people on here with much more knowledge than me, also a weekend gathering is also a great way to learn. I find every day is a learning day!

The Ford dealer may not be fantasticly knowledgeable but I would definitely ask to see the roof going up and down, Check that the park heating is working and be shown the valves for gas and water

Some other things you will need to be shown are setting up the infotainment (VW App login needed) and pairing Carplay to your phone
