I think we may have reached a tipping point over whether to buy a bigger van. Considering going to the NECC show next week, but living in Scotland, we would need to stay overnight and given the quick turn-around will probably go by train. Any advice on attending the show and hotels in the area?

Any of the NEC hotels are pretty close to just walk (and you can obviously get the train to Birmingham International so you don't need to cab it etc) - it won't be cheap at this stage - we stayed at the Crowne Plaza before which is very close indeed - seems to be 90-120 a room at the moment. Or if you are going the day / night before you could just stay in the city and get the train out
