There you go that’s better.
Yeah, hard to believe the K75 and K100 were brought out to replace the boxers, which were thought to have reached the end of their development. Boxers still going strong and never more popular.
Hated that flying brick. Did its job though, we went over the Grossglockner Pass on it and down through to the old Yugoslavia. Another time went to St Tropez over a freezing cold Easter weekend.
Swapped it for a Kawasaki Gpz900r, the Top Gun bike. Didn’t particularly like that either, 16” front wheel and anti dive forks which never worked.
Basically I’ve had everything, two strokes, four strokes, singles, parallel twins, v twins, triples, in line fours, v fours. All good, some better than others. Photo from when I were a lad many moons ago.

One of my first 'proper' bikes was a Kawasaki GPz305. It was the innovative belt drive model. Quite a capable little bike with my most memorably forgettable rides was around the M25 in freezing drizzle in the middle of winter. I've never been so cold on a bike.

4 strokes only, as big as possible with as many cylinders, hence a GL1800DCT, the ultimate twist and go. My wife has an 1100 Rebel, there is a XV1100 sorted in the garage and a scooter for the garage in the motorhome. The wing doesn't dive at all and you can see the suspension working but you feel nothing which is very weird

I took out a 701 SM....interesting bike. I might buy one for track days once I retire.

Me getting towed back ex beach racer Tom..... had to rag the Kove to an inch of its life and sadly the Camel ADV clutch cover failed and it spat its oil filler plug ....Kove was fine.

Jesus, you do like them big. If you are from Maryport the photo of the 400Four is from Silloth just up the road. Very dangerous place.

Brings back memories. I had a BMW K75S in the mid 90's. We didn't gel so I sold it pretty quick. Finally found my bike in a Yamaha TDM850 and then a 2005 Aprilia Tuono Factory. Loved those bikes for hooning around the Californian Pacific Coast.
I had a TDM850 (new model)...out of the crate....horrible. I managed to get this to corner by whacking on preload to the rear and dropping the front forks through by 20mm. Add a 160 rear tyre and MEZ1 rubber and I was grinding the exhausts. Chassis wobbled like a blancmange when pushed.

I followed an older version through the Meon valley at speed very closely. I thought mine handled like a dog, his was all over the place. Ironically, it made me appreciate how much better the new model was, even before the changes.

I ran the 690 for a while. Always found it disappointing. You couldn’t unstick it for love nor money but it was too top endy, lacked bottom end grunt. It was difficult to get the traction control properly switched off. I was expecting off the throttle wheelies galore but it just wasn’t that bike. Probably me. Sounded like it was about to grenade even when hot.

Mine was the first gen. ,Picked it up in Denver and rode it back to San Francisco with everything packing into a Givi top box. Good times. Next bike was a continuation of the theme. A modded 1st gen TDM850 with Honda Hawk side arm and a custom undersea twin pipe exhaust (ala Ducati 916). It had ported and flowed heads, a remap, Ohlins rear suspension and cast iron front brakes. An eye-catcher and a goer all in one package.

A neighbour has the black edition, had it delivered on the release date, very nice, suits his stature also

Daughters van parked in my driveway while on holiday

Your daughter asked you if the T7 was any good and you said “ Get a Nugget, duck “
No need to be embarrassed, we understand.
