Monumental thunderstorm!

Anyone in the South of France last night?
Jeeez! Probably the worst rain I’ve ever camped in. It went on for a good couple of hours. Genuinely scary thunder.
Several pitches here this morning completely flooded up to wheel rim depth!
On the plus side, only minor dampness at each front roof corner , probably due to the drains being overwhelmed.

Forecast is perfect going forward.

In the Vaucluse- certainly quite a night but campsite on a bit of a slope so apart from a bit of a river through the awning no other probs. Not sure I would have wanted to be in a tent . As you say - forecast forward pretty good

On a similar note, my son flew to Valencia in July and was picked up by relatives in a brand new 7 seater hire car. Thirty minutes later on the motorway ran into a hail storm, car written off with broken windscreen, headlights, roof, bonnet etc. Quite a scary experience.
