Hi everyone Great forum, maybe someone can help. 2009 VW T5 California. Someone has had a lot of wiring problems and wants to get it back to normal. The LED strip in the kitchen compartment has no power, and it's not even connected anywhere. Maybe someone has done this or knows where the wires from the switch and the LED itself should be connected. I have the car disassembled, so I can run the wires. The wiring diagram will make it a bit easier, but there are a lot of other things in the wiring that are not done correctly, and it will be difficult to find. Please help. The LED itself works when connected to 12V. The button also works, but they are not connected. Best regards, Kamil Sorry for my language :)

I don't remember there being a standard LED strip in the kitchen in the T5. It wasnt on our 2008. Is it an aftermarket addition?

Maybe someone installed it, but everything is from California: kitchen, sink, refrigerator, gas control, two batteries. The switch for the cabinet lighting works normally, but the LED strip is not connected.

Standard on our 2008 if it’s the one above cooker about 6inches long.

Yes, I wouldn't describe that as being in the kitchen compartment as the LED strip is on the 6.1
Do you have a picture @ejonee ?

This is what LED strip lights look like. I cant see any in your photo

It's under the countertop. There are two lights in the kitchen area: one illuminates the inside of the cabinets, and the other is located on the edge of the countertop, at the top and bottom.

I can’t speak for t6.1 so perhaps someone else can chip in but my t5.1 doesn’t have it.
I’d be inclined to believe they are aftermarket.

Hi, we have a 2021 T6.1 Coast which does not normally have the LED strip fitted in the extrusion above the cupboard doors, though the Ocean does. I'm not sure how the standard fit may have changed over the model/years and national market variants.

However, I fitted my own light strip into our Coast and include some photos in case it helps. There is a channel through the corner of the extrusion that allows connection from the front strip to the side switches. It is not obvious or easy to find but pushing some semi-rigid wires into the corner should get there.

Już wiadomo, że nikt tego nie ma. Trzeba to poprawnie podłączyć. Czy ktoś mógłby podesłać schemat, gdzie to jest podłączone do czego?

Thank you all for your help. I've got it all figured out now. I found all the necessary wiring and relay to work with this tape. If anyone needs it, please let me know and I'll send you the link.
