Just joined California Club!

Hello,

Just sold our VW T25 Holdswortrh Villa and are now looking to buy a California Ocean or Coast. We are looking at 2017 +/- 2 years vintage.

Any top tips from you seasoned owners?

Any help appreciated . . . .

Thank you, Richard D

My suggestion is take out VIP membership and then watch the ‘Cali’s for Sale’ until the right one for you comes up.

Buy in haste repent at leisure, you need pre loved not pre owned, lots on the market and don't be afraid to walk away we did and I'm sure it was the best decision we've made, eventually you will find your perfect Cali we did.

Thanks for your replies.

"Buy in haste repent at leisure, you need pre loved not pre owned"

How would you advise me to differentiate? Would '1 owner and stamped up history book do it, or there other tell tale signs?

You can tell when you meet the sellers. Was obvious when we bought ours (via advert on here) that it was very much loved

I viewed 6 before we bought our van, 2 at main agents that we wished we hadn't bothered, in 1 case I did a 500 mile round trip put a deposit down and when I arrived it was plain to see the van had been painted badly after an accident the dealer told me it was spotless when i had enquired, after making a fuss and putting a nice review on social media they paid my expenses, you also need to be aware of the ex hire fleet that's out there.
