Just completed the recommended break-in procedure.

Really quite impressed with the fuel economy numbers after the recommended break-in procedure for my 2023 Coast 204HP 4Mo DSG on 235 AS 17" tyres. With a mixture of Autobahn and country A/B road driving I'm seeing an average is 8.2 l/100km which equates to almost 35mpg. Not too shabby.

We got our van at the end of 2022 also year 23 model and 204HP 4 motion, did a mixture of motorways, A and B roads covering 98 miles and got 38.7mpg.

Ours is a 23MY 4 motion as well, this trip we are currently showing an average of around 33mpg with a average speed of just over 100kmh on 255 18” wheels

Wind appears to have a huge effect on MPG, coming through a very wet & windy France last week one tankful averaged 28mpg despite the cruise being set at 120kmh
Cruising through Spain with speeds considerably higher that at times and an average closer to 120kmh gave us nearly 35mpg on a brim to brim calculation other than about 2 miles either end it was motorway the whole way.

i took my new 150HP 4motion beech on a mostly motorway run today, of about 100km (with about 10 km either side of country / town roads) and got 6.5l/100km (43mpg) but that was at 100km/h on the motorway. I did the same run the day before in the other direction at 110km/h and got 7.5l/100 (37mpg). Not to bad for its first ever run.

Break in period ? Like 100 miles for the pads & discs to bed in

I was always recommended to break in a new motor like I’ve stolen it.
Although you can’t really drive a California like you’ve stolen it !

Do you mean 'break in' or 'run in'?
I think 'break in' in this meaning is only applicable to a horse. I thought you were going to explain the procedure for getting into the locked van without the key
