Hello All!

Reluctantly decided to sell my van and wanted to canvas opinion on current market pricing.

I have a 72 plate 4 motion with less than 10K miles in Ascot Grey and I'm not sure what I should ask for as pricing seem to be on the up a little.

Is the resistance to the T7 still a thing? And will that dissipate?

Looking forward to some interesting comments :)

Perhaps hang on till Spring, buying a camper in the depths of winter isn’t everyone’s priority?

Morning! Yes, that was my first plan, but just wanted to understand if there is a price wave and how long it might last...

I would say that values have been dropping since Jan this year. Would just hang into it and continue to enjoy the van & hang on until the sun comes out again. (April 2026).

T7 won’t appeal to many current / past T2, T25, T4,T5,T6 owners as it’s more of a comfy ICE/ Hybrid MPV than a ‘van’ if that makes sense…It has lost its van look, but depends what you are after. The Buzz could have been great but too small for a camper, so looks like VW missed a trick here. Plus there seem to be more EV Vans / MPV’s being released and only a matter of time before someone produces a decent camper version, which may attract previous VW buyers who don’t suffer from range anxiety!

There is a gap in the market at the moment. If no one fills it then T5/T6 prices will eventually stabilise. The trouble is that that some the later vans have a history of issues (leaky canvas etc) which VW have failed to address properly..so buyers might feel older vans are more reliable, offer better value.

Who can tell. VW have not been doing themselves any favours recently and with the current Multivan Cali battery issues in their AWD PHEV offering, short to medium term, the market for newer lower mileage T6.1's will trend upwards. If you're looking to maximise the return though, wait until the Spring.
