In August 2025 I took my 2018 California Ocean to SMG Cowfold for them to check out my infotainment system. It had the common problem of the touch screen not responding. The service manager told me a replacement would be ordered under the all in service agreement.
In January 2026 I took the van to SMG Cowfold to have DSG gear box oil changed and for them to look at the infotainment system again as the service manager said that VW needed further checks to me made. He said another unit was installed in the vehicle, but they could not get it to work. He told me a new one was on order and I should call after about a week to arrange a fitting time. Two weeks later I called and was told by the service assistant that these systems take about two months to come through and they will call me when it arrives. IS THIS NORMAL? (considering I was told in August 2025 that a unit had been ordered) Is anyone having similar problems getting a replacement fitted? Is there any way I can make contact with VW directly. I am not feeling confident that a unit will arrive in the near future.
