Hook-up cable for portable powerstation

Is anyone aware of a UK version of this cable being sold anywhere?


Not wanting to mess around with the wiring of my new GC600, I was thinking about just plugging my Jackery directly into the shore power socket using a normal hook-up cable. But according to this blog, that can be dangerous.
 
I use this to plug in at home and will also work witha protable powerstation.

They are very good quality and there is a range of options available.
 
Thanks but that’s not the same thing. The blog explains that there’s a safety issue in using the powerbank for shore power with that kind of adaptor. The adaptor you suggest has the right plugs at either end but it needs modified if it’s to be used safely with a powerbank. In the blog, he talks about the need for an in-line device to ensure you don’t fry yourself or blow up the power station if there are short circuits in the van because the source of your electricity (a powerbank) is not the same as mains power.
 
Sorry read it in full now. The 230v system in the van requires an earth for the RCD and safety features to function, and this cable replicates that. I've not seen anything like this in the UK though.
 
I can’t find anything either. I’ve emailed the store in Germany but haven’t had a response.

I have had comms and ordered stuff from these guys. It takes them 24hrs to respond by email. But the info is personalised, and in English !
We ordered parts that were typical around £15 carriage.
Only a small price, for getting the actual part you want.
 
Plug in to hook up point to charge your leisure battery, don’t use your 230v sockets. If you want 230v unplug Jackery from hook-up, use your 230v socket on your Jackery. Don’t see any danger in that. Note: I am no expert.
 
As soon as I have a moment, my plan is to put my Bluetti between the incoming hookup 230v and the input to the breaker box. It comes in on a male Wago plug, so I am going to use a female Wago socket to IEC (kettle plug) cable, plug that into the Bluetti and then run a 13A plug to male Wago cable to go back into the breaker box. All quick plug and play. The Bluetti then runs in UPS mode, detecting when hookup is lost and instantly switching the van’s 230v to the Bluetti.

I think it needs earthing to the chassis too, but the Bluetti has an earth point for that reason.

Thanks - yes I've read that and was inspired to try the route of switching in a power station, as an alternative to Gordon's USB/buck 12v solution (I'm actually going to compare the two solutions, as I have borrowed a USB/buck box).

However:

1) Grancali.com are just trying to flog their 500 Euro solution - which looks effective and they've done the thinking around it.

2) They're using an auto transfer switch to detect and switch between power station and hookup/shore power.

3) If your power station has a UPS mode, you shouldn't need a transfer switch - the power station will do that for you, switching seamlessly between hookup and power station.

That's the plan, anyway...
