Hair Dryer Issue?

Hi all,
currently on holiday in France, hooked up to campsite electrics, my wife wants to blow dry her hair, is it OK to use a hair dryer without blowing any fuses?

Probably not but only 1 way to find out. Could she use it in the campsite bathrooms instead?

How many watts is the hairdryer, how many amps is the campsite hook up supply and how many watts are you using on other things at the same time as the proposed hair drying ?

Probably be fine. Just try it. Worst that can happen is the post switch flips.

I have a travel hairdryer which is 1850-2000 watts. I haven't blown the camp electrics yet but am careful not to use it with the kettle turned on at the same time. I plug it into the kitchen socket not the driver's chair, inverter socket.
When you think about our fellow caravan users, I am sure they use many more powerful pieces of kit.

Don’t forget the inverter in the van is rated to 300watts.

If 16 or 10 amp hookup, no worries. Any less and may trip, especially if you have other items on at same time
