GC600 2025 Clima ‘Auto’ function missing

After taking delivery of my new GC600 last week, I am finding the Climatic Air Conditioning / Heating functions to be extremely limited compared to other VW’s I’ve owned. In particular, I cannot see anywhere on my screen which provides an Auto function. I cannot set the temperature to a specific degree centigrade, there is no Sync option which means you can turn on or off passenger and driver settings independently.

The user manual suggests these options are available, but I cannot find them.

Am I missing something, or is this what I am stuck with?

Yes ours 25 is the same, I can only assume it would be difficult for the cab heating to keep a balanced temperature in such a big space.

In honesty we haven't found it to be much of an issue.

Thanks @markab I think the only real bugbear is the automatic fan speed (or lack of). With other VWs, the fan speed is reduced until the engine or heater is warmed up. Hence not blowing out cold air.

On the T7 California beach, the default climate control is exactly as you describe - the climatic which allows temperature selection and automatic fan speed etc is an optional extra. I think it's a bit poor really given you have to use the touchscreen

Wow, that is outrageous. I haven’t seen that as an option you can purchase on the GC configurator. And the Digital User Manual states that the Auto option is clearly available.

I assume VWs get-out-clause will be what they state in the GC brochure… But still, that doesn’t explain why they mention Auto mode in the Operating Manual, and have no option (that I can see) which offers anything else.

I wonder if they just haven't bothered to give the option in the UK. Or maybe it's an option on the van and they are using the same bits of the manual for common functions
