Finally picked up our new Beach on Saturday from Oscar at Liverpool - blue with black roof (we travelled over from Newcastle to collect it - much much better deal from Liverpool than buying locally)

We added on quite a few options including art velours, towbar, climatronic, heated seats, heated windscreen, parking pack and full keyless. Only option I regret not adding was the extra interior lighting package but I'd felt I'd spent enough at that point! I can confirm for those asking that having not added any heating options it runs perfectly fine all night on the diesel heater when set to continuous.

It was great to drive (as was the coast we test drove) and as our previous car was a "COVID car" it was nice to have all of the driver aids that were included running well, wasn't expecting blind spot sensors to be included, for example. It made light work of the trip back to Newcastle.

As the weather was on and off raining we decided to stay in Liverpool at the very unglamourous but perfectly serviceable Marina which meant we had loos and showers - we didn't have space in the car we traded in to fit the porta potti etc so having services so close to the city was great - even made our new giant family car seem small compared to the neighbour:

I have to admit to finding the lower bed a bit firm, may need to look at the various topper options. Despite being about 5c and the top being noticeably colder than the bottom, the kids were fine with their new 3 season sleeping bags (one complained she was too hot!) so I won't be rushing out to get a cover. Equally - the beach comes with non insulated shades for the front and side windows which again I was thinking that I must replace but in reality we had no issues with temperature at all. It was a bit cramped with the 5th seat in place that doesn't go under the bed - we don't intend on taking that with us when we go camping but we were obviously a long way from home.

All in all very pleased, already planning next weeekend's trip now we're back at home in the North East!

As an aside - the dometic go boxes we bought to keep our gear in so it's ready whenever fit perfectly in the space in the tailgate - 2 of them slide in nicely.

Nice colour and great spec, hope you enjoy it, we are loving ours and had lots of trips this winter, enjoy.
