Diesel Heater Remote

Does anyone know if you can purchase a replacement diesel heater remote ( I lost mine) and have it programmed to your cali? I have looked at VW sites which do not seem to cover, tks

You just need to find out exactly which heater you have, it’s on a badge on the drivers door.

Then google the manual for that heater, likely will be Webasto or Erberspacher

The manual will tell you how to adapt it.

Usually it’s pulling the fuse for the heater, putting it back in and holding a button on the remote.

I did it for a T6 but can’t see it brig much different for a T6.

If your remote has a small LCD or LEDs and two buttons (often marked ON/OFF or heat/fan), do this:

1. Turn off ignition and ensure heater is off.
2. Press and hold both buttons on the remote until the LED flashes (approx. 3–5 seconds).
3. Switch on the receiver (heater control unit) within 10 seconds — either by pressing its main power button or turning ignition on briefly (depending on installation).
4. The remote and receiver should sync — the LED will flash quickly, then go steady.

If the pairing fails, you may need to reset the receiver first (disconnect heater fuse for ~30 seconds, then reconnect).
