A AlanC Traveling Super Poster Lifetime VIP Member Messages 1,781 Location Bristol Vehicle Cali now sold Apr 1, 2016 #5 That is about right. It is for 2 batteries and those will take a fair bit of current initially. A flat engine battery will draw over 40 amps after it has been jump started. That is why the alternator cables are so thick.
