On YouTube a few helpful videos make changing the large green resistor which controls the strength of the standard air vents seems to blow every few years (you know when - only 4 works). However with the T6 Cali it’s much harder to get to than these videos for the standard Transporters seem to make out. In short, it’s extremely fiddly and you have to be something of a contortionist to get into the footwell in order to use a ratchet tool effectively.

I’ve just changed it on my 2018 California and I’m very proud of myself, and just wanted to let you all know.

You also have to remove the glove compartment, which is actually the easy bit.

I fully agree to the difficulties compared to the transporter in videos. I think the very stiff and thick underfelt/board makes it a challenge worth posting about. Well done.

I found it to restrictive to get socket in to loosen it. Ideally you need a 5mm spanner.
