Situation - hooked up on a campsite. Power socket under pull or kitchen working fine. Plugged a 700w toaster into it. Everything stopped. Fuse under passenger seat seems fine. Trip switch in boot seems fine (I think/ assume it’s there I’m remotely trying to diagnose this). The hook up breakers are all fine and have been reset etc.

What else is there to try ?

Am I missing something?

My understanding is that when hooked up the socket described above should handle up to 2-3kW. I know that the one on the drivers seat can handle approx 300w and runs off an inverter on the leisure battery.

I presume the Toaster fuse is OK?
Have you tried something else in the Mains socket?
There is no Mains fuse in the 240v Mains circuit only the mains fuse in the appliance Plug.

I assume that the toaster is ok but not sure. Context ; it’s out on hire with GoBoony. I’ve supplied a small 700w oil fired heater to take the chill off whilst hooked up. That is also being tried. I don’t think that is working either. It’s a bit tricky to diagnose remotely but I’m doing my best !

The reason why I mentioned the fuse was I assumed it did the socket , but perhaps not (just the 12v) that’s next to it. It went on us after we crushed a 12v plug by accident. I was sure the 240v power socket also went with it , but perhaps I’m mistaken.

It's a simple mains system on the California.
Campsite supply - EHU cable - RCD - Mains socket in Campervan.

If the Campsite socket is OK and 2 appliances don't work the either EHU cable, possible but unlikely.
RCD has switched. I know its difficult to see in the Beach but try with switch Up and Down.

Ok Thanks. That confirms what I have been thinking and demonstrates that I’m not missing something. The RCD in the van is in the passenger side of the boot where the jack is stored right ? That’s what the manual suggested. I’ve never seen it !

Correct. You can only feel it not see if it is on. So try with switch up, which I think should be On, and switch down, if I'm wrong.

Correct, and I would say difficult to get to compared to the Ocean, if I recall correctly, nearer the boot end. Take the jack out it makes it easier,
