As a rule do campsites class the Cali attached awning as an awning and therefore charge extra for using it, or as it is just a canopy do they let you use it without having to pay the awning extra?

I have the same question also what if it has panels to make it an awning room?

The roll out sun canopies aren’t classed as an awning on campsites we’ve visited, including club sites, and overseas sites. We’ve never been charged extra.

We’ve also got Outwell side and end tarps, and we’ve had no issues. You may have problems if the awning sides are the fully pegged down type.

On some sites you’re asked to wind in sun canopies or fully secure at night. That’s more to do with them flying around in the wind and causing injury. We always use storm straps if the canopy is up for any length of time.
