Hi all the awning on my cal T .61 has started to crease when winding up has anyone got any ideas to stop this and can it be adjusted it got very wet the other night would that be anything to do with it

Yes agree but is there some sort of secret remedy

Mine also creases sometimes.
I wind it in slowly and at the first sign of a crease I pull the material out slightly then let go allowing the tension in the roller to pull it back. This normally gets rid of the crease and I carry on winding + repeat each time the crease reappears

Make sure the front of the awning where the legs are is perfectly level with the Awning case on the Van before you wind back. I had something similar the other week, I had dropped a leg as per normal practice and then tried to wind back and it did the same. Levelling the legs helped and got it back in ok.

Ours started to crease a bit after using in the rain - maybe as @Ch1pbutty suggests. The good news is that when it got nice a warm when wound out with the sun the fabric sorted itself out and now it doesn’t crease. We don’t now use it in the rain if we can help it, we’ve another canvas awning for that.

Ours is badly creased, first owner must have let it get so, never managed to get it out, think it will end up being replaced at some point as it now has pinholes where it’s creased.

Really common, some have had material replaced under warranty

The search function (top right) will throw up threads, here is one to get you going, enjoy the reading .

Just come back from 4 beautiful days in Cornwall weather was very warm rolled out awning for the first time in weeks and all the creases looked like they have disappeared. But when you really looked hard you could still see they were there and when I rolled it in the awning started creasing again also one end fully closes before the other so i have contacted V W Breeze at Portsmouth and booked the cal in for next Thursday . Hopefully it will all come under warranty and I also mentioned a tiny black plastic u shape spacer which broke and fell off from one of the front lifting arms of roof.Let’s see what happens next week and I will let everyone know
