Hi All, i want to get a new awning carpet/mat to use under my roll out awning and also Outwell Backroads, i currently have one of those pvc garden type rugs, its breathable but as i found out at Busfest last year, on long wet grass as soon as you stand on it the water comes straight through and you get wet feet (works well in the dry of course), are they any options that don't do this? i was camping in Newquay recently and noticed a lot of people using those Fiamma style carpets under their rollouts, though as far as i can tell they seem to be of similar construction to the one i have, so would suffer the same issue in the wet? n the plus side they do seem to fold up smaller as they are less rigid, is my only option to use a ground sheet first? or is there something that would do the job I'm missing?
