Hi everyone,

I recently bought an Atera Strada DL3 from Amazon UK. It was listed as a Warehouse deal and I got a great price, but nowhere did it mention the unit was actually being shipped from Europe. As a result, I've received Type 022601—which appears to be the standard European LHD version rather than the UK-specific "GB" model.

My main concern is the light cluster (specifically the fog light being on the left), which I believe makes it non-compliant for UK road use.

Has anyone else inadvertently ended up with a European variant from Amazon? If so, is there a simple way to convert/rewire the lights for the UK, or am I better off just returning it?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I wouldn't worry about it. How often do you use the fog lights? You've still got one just on the wrong side. No different to your van one when driving abroad.

I did the same, Amazon showed in stock but later found out 2 month delivery so cancelled and bought a new ProUser Diamant SG2 Plus 60kg on eBay. It’s great and tilts to allow the tailgate to open with bikes on. Must have the Plus though for full tilting.

I think the UK variant has 2 fog lights, the European rack has only a fog light on the left cluster and not the required wiring in the right light cluster to be able to insert a bulb and allow it to work.

Yep, this is the conclusion I have come to. The chances of me ever using it in the fog are minimal. The van has fog lights and the rack has a fog light. Some people in dense fog dont even use their fog light, and if the fog light being on the left instead of the right is a big safety issue, then whats the mitigation for the european drivers that come to the UK on holiday with (presumably) a euro standard bike rack with the light on the wrong side?

Thanks all.
