Aftermarket Carpet for California Ocean Living Area? Need Size Advice

What do you think about using ikea larkollen as a carpet? Seems easy to cut, 80cm seems to fit perfectly in my t7 beach. Do you think it's worth trying?

Hi folks, I'm trying to track down a carpet / mat for the living space floor in my California Ocean (T7). Unfortunately, VW can’t help they told me today there’s no part number available and it doesn’t appear on their books.

I'm wondering:

1. Has anyone sourced an aftermarket or custom carpet that fits this area? I’ve done a fair bit of searching and not found anything suitable as yet!
2. Or has anyone used off-the-shelf rectangular mats that work? It’d help a lot if someone could share the dimensions you used, then I can shop around or cut one myself temporarily.

Hiya - I used CarMats.co.uk who are based in Mansfield. Give your Reg and type of vehicle and they make them up and can also add emblems stitched in as well as whipping the edges in any colour you want to match the interior or exterior. Very reasonable priced and I had the front, cabin and rear done. They even fitted them for me.

slightly old thread now but shout out to rugs for bugs, good stuff for reasonable dosh, and now do carpet for living area

Good idea, but I don’t think that it would last very long.

So I did buy it and I'm testing it now. It fits perfectly. The width 80cm is just perfect for Beach living area and it's very easy to cut to length. 10s with a sharp knife.
It's a firm material, so no problems with bent corners. But after a week of use they're quite dirty and as you said, will not last too long probably. I'm not sure if I'd recommend it given the price and durability. But so far I'm happy with it.
