Behind so that I can still use the table area for lunch etc on day trips. The kids will be able to jump in through the boot or behind the bench when it slides forward. Why behind? How does anyone actually get to it if the bench is in front of it?
Hoping to add a single rear seat behind the bench in my 2005 California caravelle so I can seat 4 passengers over the Christmas period.
Has anyone done similar and can advise on a simple solution or what I should be looking for.
Thanks
I have the 5th seat from VW. It is built like a tank and uses a lot lot more space than I imagined. If fitted behind the bench then you would need to slide your bench forward a few feet. It is a bit of faff to fit and remove and id recommend doing weight training to carry it. However when we need it, then it then it does the job well.Hoping to add a single rear seat behind the bench in my 2005 California caravelle so I can seat 4 passengers over the Christmas period.

Do you realise that you cant fit one in the boot without taking the bench seat out first, there is no way of getting the single seat onto the rails at the back.Behind so that I can still use the table area for lunch etc on day trips. I’ve got three floor rails. I haven’t checked my v5 yet.
