Hi - I have managed to blow the fuse that feeds the 12 volt power output (cigarette lighter type) that sits in the top and middle of the dashboard - the one with the tray in the dash top. Can anyone point me in the right direction for which fuse and in which fusebox I need to look to replace it? I am not keen to pull them all out to look and I have not found the fuse box layouts of much help.

Many thanks in advance.

Anyone know where the fuse is for the 12v socket on the front face of the dash on a 2017 Beach? I have checked all the fuses under the passenger seat and the ones in the engine by the battery. Is there another set of fuses in the main dash somewhere?
Thanks in anticipation!

Check the Dashboard fuse locations.

The Volkswagen T6 has multiple fuse box locations, primarily under the lower center dashboard, by the driver’s side lower dash panel, under the front seat box, and near the engine/battery area.

Main Cabin Locations
    • Lower Center Dashboard: Located beneath the gear selector area / center lower dash panel, often holding key interior utility fuses like the 12V sockets.
    • Driver’s Side Dashboard: Located behind the lower dash panel between the steering column and the headlight switch.
    • Under the Left/Driver Seat Box: Houses extra high-amp fuse and relay holders, common in camper or special vehicle conversions. Transporter Forum +5

Engine and Under-Hood Locations
    • Under the Battery Tray:
Additional main heavy-duty fuses require removing the battery tray cover and screws in the engine bay.

In a 2017 Beach you have to pull off the panel shown in the picture, on the passenger footwell side of the central gear shift lever. There are no clips to undo, it is a matter of just pulling it off by force, and then it was easy to identify & replace blown fuse. Thanks Welsh Gas for the detailed explanation which at least helped me to feel bold about forcing off this panel!
