Expensive UK Campsites

Yeah but the beds in the camper aren't that comfortable. Which is why there are numerous threads on matress toppers.
Agree.... 11years on and I still agree with this statement....made worse by the fact the beds in my great white are a 10/10......

Neither myself, wife or the 2 kids have complained about sleeping on the oem mattresses. But then again we haven't camped more than 4 nights in a row. Don't get me wrong, it is no king size 1m thick mattress I have at home, but a much better alternative to an inflatable mattress in tent.- which is our reference point.:D

UK campsites in general are overpriced, I've stayed on many a French ones with all the facilities and a swimming pool for 20 euros. I avoid UK campsites but do occasionally stay on CL sites

I’m not surprised at all. We do long weekends only in UK about twice a year to see our friends. That’s it.

We just came back from 16 nights Santander then back through France.

My favourite site is D’Orangerie de Beauregard. We had a double pagoda pitch which I think was about €40 a night.

San Sebastián was probably €100 but you know it’s San Sebastián!!

As I have said many times before, I had a few side effects after my first Covid jab which put me off getting the 2nd. This meant we couldn’t go abroad that summer. We went to an excellent site by the sea in Dorset. Every time I stood up my chair blew over, it was freezing cold and I couldn’t even light the bbq. Never again I decided. I got jab 2 as soon as we got back and the next year we returned to France and had possibly the best 2 weeks we’ve ever had in the van.

Go abroad. You’ll love it!
