Break down / recovery cover on vans greater than 3.5T

So looking at swapping the Cali for a larger van which would be 4.1T, keen to make sure we have suitable cover, called up the AA as its renewal time and asked them what they cover. Turns out its up to 3.5T with a hight and width limit, but no length.

So what do people do for breakdown / recovery with european assistance for a van that is >3.5T ?

RAC covers our GC680 which includes European travel. Sounds good on paper but luckily so far we haven’t had to have a call out so don’t know how good they are when you need help.

The RAC one is Arrival
In uk the max length for standard policy is 6.5m
What w3 found annoying is it is a differ3nt policy and the RAC did r seem to be able to cross reference between the 2.
