Starlink mini now £189

Is there a way to purchase the mini and go straight onto the £8, 20gb service without taking out the £50, 50gb and pausing it?

There is no £8 20GB plan in the UK as I have just checked my account.
 
If they could drop the subscription costs it would be a no brainier, still just a bit too high for me, hard to justify unless you really need that coverage.
 
Saw a video on you tube using the mini during pause, he was able to stream and do video calls at a lower res. I did wonder how well it would work as a replacement for home broadband to offset the cost as im no longer in contract

I saw that video too but the bandwidth is minimal during pause. I really wish they would reintroduce the £8 roam tier for occasional use that was available earlier in the year.
