Extra Under Bench Seat Drawer

I know there have been numerous posts about the extra under bench seat drawer that you can fit - however my specific question is this. The only VW drawer I have seen listed states it is for VW T6 California models 2020 onwards. We have a 2018 model and when I emailed the seller with this question they just replied that they couldn't guarantee it would fit a 2018 model. Can anyone confirm if they have fitted one to a pre 2020 T6 California and if so what is the part number? Thanks.

It should physically fit, I think you will find that the plastic colour of the trim is different for earlier years.

If you’re looking to buy one, I have this available. I will fit your vehicle and comes complete with runners and mounting screws.

They are still available to buy direct from VW; however, it does work out quite expensive.

The drawer itself is no longer available in Moonrock, so you have to buy the Palladium grey version (from the T6.1), they do sell just the drawer front in Moonrock so you need to buy that as well. Also, the kit does not come with the runners or bolts so these are separate.

I had this done by VW a couple of weeks ago, the total cost was close to £600.

My Cali was registered August 2020, but it is a late T6 (MY19).

A previous owner fitted one to my 2018 T6, it looks like they have used the original plastic front blanking panel and made a cut out where the handle/latch goes, so if you can't get one with the right colour front panel that's always an option.

Thanks for the info that's helpful to know, although I have now found a guy on Youtube who does a step by step video on how to fit one of these.
