Qi wire free Phone Charger centre console

My manual suggests that the little tray in the centre console is a wireless Qi charger.
I have a Qi compatible iPhone 16 Pro Max but it is not charging
Does anyone else have experience of their phone either charging or nor charging?

From previous discussions on this forum we understand that the tray in question is set up for wireless charging on the continent and in Ireland, but not in the UK for whatever reason ‍

The T6.1 had a similar oddity in that the wireless charging option was available to spec pretty much everywhere in Europe but not in the U.K. for some reason.

I have just ordered a wireless charging pad from Amazon for £20 so hopefully it will fit on the tray

Can I just double check does it fit in the existing tray and if it does is it easy enough to slide phone in?
